Leadership in Risk and Resilience

Thursday September 26 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The Subject:

The uncertainties caused by a growing number of global geopolitical events and the fragility of our supply chains to large scale risk events is pushing resilience up the agenda.  The recent power failures in the UK are a timely reminder of how vulnerable our systems are and how reliant we have become of them.

When combined with higher expectations from consumers and an increased appetite from regulators to drive change – are we are beginning to see the concept of resilience coming of age?

These challenges are driving us to think differently about what makes our organisation’s resilient, and crucially, how we maintain it.  There is a lot to discuss.  We will explore a range of topics from the forthcoming changes to ISO 22301, the Bank of England’s push towards what it calls Operational Resilience and how a more integrated approach to resilience can help us better position the investments we need through improved risk quantification.

Our Expert:

James Crask, Head of Resilience Advisory at Marsh – James is chair of the working group responsible for all international standards relating to Business Continuity and Organisational Resilience. This includes. ISO 22301, ISO 22313 (and related business continuity standards) and ISO 22316 on organisational resilience.
